BACKGROUND: As a designer and facilitator, Peter Durand uses visual learning in collaborative strategy and design situations to accelerate change. Since 2004, he has served as the House Artist at PopTech and creates a number of on-site paintings live during each presentation at the annual PopTech conference in Maine. From 2007 to 2010, Durand served as the assistant director and lead facilitator at the Innovation Center at Vanderbilt Center for Better Health.

EDUCATION: He received his BFA in Visual Communications at Washington University in St. Louis and a MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland. His current obsession is the global street art movement and injecting the visual language of graffiti into the business landscape.

BACKGROUND: Diane loves to show people how to tell their own stories with markers. As a graphic facilitator, she combines a strong sense of color with childlike drawings to create dynamic, playful, engaging graphics. In her company, Discovery Doodles, Diane is taking what she has learned in the global business world and sharing it with parents, teachers and most importantly, kids!

EDUCATION: A graduate of the theater department at the University of Texas in Austin, Diane has led teams on theatrical productions and collaborative design events for over twenty years. She is a published children’s book illustrator with a passion for teaching 21st century parenting skills and a rollicking novel Quilts, Tacos and Tattoos.
